Elevate Your Easter Baskets

Easter is around the corner!

I love the pastel overload of Easter! From hand-dyed Easter eggs to the pastel iced bunny sugar cookie recipe my mom has passed down, there has always been an explosion of color at Easter!

What are your favorite Easter traditions?

I grew up in Iowa where Easter could be quite chilly, but no matter the temperature my Easter Sunday best was always a bright color to celebrate. I loved the frilly lace-edged socks and new shoes of my childhood Easter outfits. My grandmother often sewed my earliest Easter dresses. I can remember the brown paper packages they arrived in when I was very young. I felt so special getting a dress made especially for me whether it was for Easter or a special Christmas program.  I dressed my own girls in eyelet or ruffled dresses, and often a hat, for Easter Sunday for as long as they would accept it.

I love the tradition of Easter baskets, and often found myself looking for something unique to make a statement in my girls’ baskets. I love that Easter baskets can be filled with simple toys and small gifts. I loved stashing the small baskets full and curating that special look with plastic eggs, an overflowing of shredded pastel Easter grass and foil wrapped candies.

Something New from Cotton Splendor

I’ve created an adorable Quilted Zipper Bunny Pouch to celebrate Easter this year. The stand-up ears are so adorable and sure to catch the eye of your little one. The pouch is just the perfect size to tuck in a small gift (perfect for jewelry), sweet treats, or a gift card for your older loved ones. They are fully lined and stand on their own for an adorable presentation. They make a great gift on their own or would be a sweet addition to any Easter basket. They are EARISISTABLE!

Looking for ideas for your Easter baskets?

For young children art supplies, coloring books, card games, puzzles, wind-up toys, small Lego sets, kites, sidewalk chalk, and bubbles were among my go-to gifts.

As my girls got older their baskets included hair accessories, jewelry, nail polish, books, and cosmetics. Older boys might enjoy new hats, games, t-shirts, or a new phones case.

For your young adults consider tucking a couple gift cards in the pouch for a surprise.

The Cotton Splendor Quilted Zipper Bunny Pouches are available now, in limited quantity. A handmade unique gift like this may be just what you've been looking for to complete your baskets.

Happy Easter!
